Music Everybody! is founded on the premise that every person is musical and possesses a natural way of relating to music, called his or her musicality. The Music Everybody! Seminars are weekend workshops in which the participants experience different ways of bringing their musicality into action.

About Jeffrey Chappell - Course Creator and Instructor
Jeffrey Chappell is a gifted, innovative teacher who is renowned for his ability to connect with every student. As an educator, concert pianist, composer, jazz musician, recording artist, and journalist, he brings an amazing diversity of experience to his teaching.
Educator
Jeffrey is on the faculties of Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland and the Levine School of Music in Washington, D.C. He is also the director of the Goucher Summer Arts Institute Jazz Camp for middle and high school students. He has given guest seminars and master classes at music schools and conservatories internationally, and has lectured for numerous chapters of the Music Teachers National Association.
Classical Musician
As a concert pianist, Jeffrey has performed throughout the United States in recitals, in chamber music, and as soloist with major orchestras including those of Philadelphia, St. Louis, Pittsburgh, and Houston, and with the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra at Carnegie Hall and on nationwide radio broadcasts. He has performed in Europe, Asia, and Latin America and has recorded on the Telarc, Centaur, Albany, and MMC labels. He studied at the Curtis Institute with Eleanor Sokoloff, at the Peabody Conservatory with Leon Fleisher, and with Jane Allen.
Jazz Musician and Improviser
Jeffrey has performed with jazz artists such as Jeff Antoniuk, Wes Crawford, Pepe Gonzalez, and Jon Mathis. He has appeared at the Key West International Jazz Festival and at the East Coast Jazz Festival. He was the pianist for DC Express, a jazz vocal quartet, and was a member of the Lenox Ensemble, an improvisation group of classical musicians. He has frequently improvised piano accompaniment for silent films at the National Gallery of Art.
Composer
The compositions of Jeffrey Chappell integrate techniques of classical composition with elements of American popular music. His solo piano composition, "American Sonata," won the Keyboard Magazine Soundpage Competition. While composer-in-residence with the Mid-Atlantic Chamber Orchestra, Mr. Chappell was commissioned to write "Shadowdance" for piano and wind ensemble with a grant from the Meet The Composer Foundation.
